 SINGING PROBLEMS

Can you sing in tune well?

Can you sing R&B and every other style?

Can you read music and sing it without accompaniment?

Can you sing with a lot of feeling?

Do you understand musical terms?

Can you hear and identify chords?

Can you sing harmony?

Can you arrange vocal harmony?

Can you sing and look professional on stage?

Can you record effectively and artistically in a studio?

Can you play piano enough to play and harmonize a tune?

Can you write lyrics and music (songs)?

Can you function successfully in the business world?

Can you keep a group together and effectively lead it?

Can you overcome your fears and pursue your goals?

Such things may not seem like problems, but at a professional level, the demands of the job greatly exceed what some people can competently do. You only have to turn your TV on at the right time to hear people trying to sing their hearts out but their lack of musicianship and technique are huge roadblocks. Some people watching may think it is funny while others think it is sad to watch the show producers capitalize on the handicaps of those inferior singers.
