Top 10 Lies Singers Have Heard

Have you been lied to?

Probably.  I have.

What did the lies do?  Were they intentional, or just good-intentioned, but mis-guided?

Benefit of The Doubt

Giving the benefit of the doubt is kind and patient, but if you need to sing better sooner than later, it doesn’t matter what the intention was.

I once heard of a lady who accidentally backed her car over a little dog and killed it.  Her intention was good, but it didn’t bring the dog back to life.

Kind people are sometimes (or often) ignorant, uneducated, under-educated, or misinformed, and in simply repeating lies they were told to equally ignorant students, nobody benefits.

A teacher or vocal coach may intend to help a singer improve, but it doesn’t bring a career to life or back to life.
